Addressing the challenges of exploiting industry 4.0 technologies in workplaces to support better health and safety workshop
Join our workshop on 20th November in Buxton, to propose future research directions aimed at developing possible solutions to some of the Industry 4.0 data challenges impacting health and safety performances.
Industry 4.0, also referred to as the 4th Industrial Revolution, is the name given to a suite of internet-connected digital technologies that interact with physical equipment/processes originally exploited by the manufacturing sector to enhance operations, and now deployed across multiple sectors.
The data challenges likely to have been experienced by organisations deploying industry 4.0 technologies may relate to: big data, data governance, data analytics (i.e. use of right analytic methods), actioning (i.e. getting right insights to right people at right time in right way) and Artificial Intelligence (e.g. aligning goals, training datasets).
